sounds like plantar fascitis. I get pain in the front of my foot from osteoarthritis, so it can also be very painful to walk. You probably need a referral to a podiatrist, i see them and they're quite helpful

I get pain in my heels and it was diagnosed as plantar fasciitis. I also get pain in the ball of my left foot which turns out to be metetarsalgia. I have to have insoles for my shoes which will hopefully solve the problem when i get them, just waiting for the letter to say when they are ready. As inkedup says you should ask your GP for a referral to a podiatrist.

I started with this about 4 years ago. My feet eventually became flat. I wear insoles but the collapse of my ankles continues. Had a USscan about 5 weeks ago, still waiting for the results, they it is something to do with the tendons, apparently not uncommon in autoimmune diseases. The question Im still waiting for an answer to: can it be fixed?

I've experienced pain in the heel of my right foot for a couple of years now and was diagnosed with PBC a year ago (i'm 38). My Consultant said it was Plantar Fascitis and explained some exercises I could do to ease the pain by stretching out the tendons in the foot(stretching out the foot on the bottom stair for example). Apparently its very common with autoimmune diseases. I was quite relieved as I have experienced other joint pain (in my left elbow and the palm of both hands) and feared the start of arthritis!

Hi Karenlesley i to have Plantar Fascitis and find it very painful when i first start waking,it eases off after a while but then when i sit down and get back up it really bad.

I have had two steriods injections in my heel which is really painful but for me have been a godsend.
